Central to Dubai’s cultural tourism is the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, which offers visitors a deep dive into the city’s history through its expansive network of museums and heritage sites. These include the Al Shindagha Museum, the UAE’s largest open-air museum, which showcases local traditions and offers visitors a journey through the nation’s past. The Etihad Museum complements this by focusing on the UAE’s formation, with exhibits detailing the country’s unification process from 1968 to 1974.
Another cultural gem is the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where visitors can experience Dubai as it was in the mid-19th century. The narrow alleyways and traditional architecture provide a glimpse into the city’s creative identity, firmly rooted in its cultural heritage.
